Following the visit to the Research Station we visited a sugarcane mill.  We were given a choice to ride bicycles there or take the bus.  Since it was raining lightly I opted to take the bus.  We were given demonstrations on how they extract the juice from the sugar cane, then processed to make alcohol.

Before we boarded the zodiac boats to go back to the ship, we were given about an hour to roam the town of Puerto Ayora.  This is a fairly good-size town which serves a lot of tourists.  There are many business that offer services to tourists, like guided tours or ferry services to the other islands.  Some of us took the opportunity to buy some local souvenirs.
