Cliffs of Moher and Galway

After Bunratty Castle, we drove northwest for about an hour towards the west coast of Ireland.  Along the edge of the Atlantic Ocean are the Cliffs of Moher, one of Ireland most popular natural attractions.  It costs 6 euros each to park your car and admission to the area.  It has a very nicely done Visitors' Center that gives you a lot of information  about the Cliffs, including the caves underneath the cliffs and the wildlife that inhabit the area.  They have films that take you closer to the cliffs and show you areas where you cannot get to on your own.
Outside the Visitors' Center, there are walkways along the edge of the cliffs that gives you some fantastic views.  Below are some of the pictures that I took.

After the Cliffs of Moher, we drove along the windy road along the coast north towards Galway City.  We passed by many farms and Bed and Breakfasts (B&Bs') places.  Instead of having a lot of small hotels, there are B&Bs' everywhere.  They are all very nicely done and well maintained.  We were very impressed with how well-kept all the houses and buildings are.  Later we learned from an Irishmen that the Irish paint their houses every four years and power-wash them every year.  No wonder they all look so freshly-painted.  This area is also know as The Burren, a rocky and windswept landscape.
The area around Galway City is known for its traditional Irish music.  Unfortunately, it was raining when we got to Galway and we did not spend too much time there.  However, we did have a very nice fish and chips dinner at one of the restaurants along the pedestrian mall.
