It was a short one-hour flight from Fairbanks to Anchorage. I picked up the rental car and drove about 5 1/2 hours to Homer. Tomorrow is the grand finale for my trip - halibut fishing. After I checked into the hotel, I hung around the beach watching a few people fishing. I noticed a couple of bald eagles nearby and knew they were waiting for dinner opportunities.
